MY PHOTO BOOK / MY SOCCER SEASON

My son started to play soccer this summer and, to celebrate his first season, I created a photo book to illustrate his self-improvements. From the first passes to the first goal, I reported his improvements and give our family a memory of this first season. Who knows if this isn’t a great soccer superstar first steps...

I thus created a photo book for my son but also for other parents who had the same wish as I did.

MY EXPERIENCE

ORGANISATION AND CONTENT RETRIEVING

I asked all the parents in the team if they had pictures of training sessions. Lots of them had some. On the computer, I easily saw when each picture was taken. Then, I reorganized all the images received in chronological order.

To retrieved the pictures, I opened an account on a photo sharing free website (Picasa) and asked all the parents I met to upload their favorite pictures. I also ask for their autorization to use those pictures.

For next season, I plan to organize a photoshoot to get even more pictures for my photo album.

In my book, I focused on training sessions and I recreated the season calendar in the book. Because the most important thing is to participate, I kept in memories the wins and the losses during all season.

CREATION OF CUSTOM PHOTO BOOKS

I organized my book that way:

- First page shows the little player The first page is the only page that will change from a version to another in order to personalize the book of every kid.

- The second page shows a team picture.

- The next pages are dedicated to the players. Everyone get his own page with his name, number and picture. I used the sport card frame, which is perfect to specify the field position of each player.

- In the last pages, I wrote the memorable events of the season (the first goal, the first victory, etc.). I also put the game results, which I got from the team coach.
